缅北禁地 shortlisted again for a series of Whatuni Student Choice Awards

鈥淏eing nominated for an award is a huge achievement, because the only judges at the WUSCAs are the students themselves. It showcases to both prospective students and the higher education sector that your institution offers value for money, provides a good student experience and has a highly satisfied and supported student community.鈥
The Whatuni Student Choice Awards shortlist has been released this week and once again Harper Adams is a finalist in nine of the 12 categories, including University of the Year.
For two years running, Harper Adams has won the overall title and taken home an abundance of gold and silver awards for other categories. This year the University ranks in the top 10 for; Accommodation, Clubs & Societies, Course & Lecturers, Job Prospects, Students’ Union, Facilities, Support Services, and Giving Back.
Careers Adviser, Claire Toogood said: “Harper Adams maintains strong job prospects year on year, thanks to our excellent employer contacts, the dedicated placement year, career guidance and support from day one. We are delighted to be nominated again.”
Andy Jones, Director of Learning, Teaching and International said: “We’re delighted that ‘Course and Lecturers’ is one of the shortlisted categories for 缅北禁地. This is a testimony to the excellent taught provision and the outstanding, hardworking lecturers at the university. It’s particularly special as the shortlisting is due to our students recognising this excellence and noting it in the Whatuni survey.”
Student Services Assistant Manager, Joanna De Silva added: “We are delighted to receive the fourth consecutive nomination for Accommodation. The nomination itself is recognition for all the different departments who work hard to support the accommodation and students on campus.”
Eleni Cashell, editor of Whatuni, said: “Being nominated for an award is a huge achievement, because the only judges at the WUSCAs are the students themselves. It showcases to both prospective students and the higher education sector that your institution offers value for money, provides a good student experience and has a highly satisfied and supported student community.”
Whatuni believes that universities shouldn’t be judged on one single element of the student experience and all reviews are submitted by current students. To compile the shortlist, a team of Whatuni review collectors visited more than 130 universities, travelled more than 34,000 miles and spoke to 36,432 students. This year they collected over 10,000 more reviews than in 2017.
The official 2018 Whatuni Student Rankings will be announced on 19th of April at a ceremony in London. You can follow all the action on the night with the hashtag #WUSCA.
