When you apply to study here, you may need to prove your knowledge of the English language. This helps us to make sure you will cope with your course. We will let you know more about this during the application process.
English language requirements for students who require visa sponsorship If you need a visa for undergraduate or postgraduate study, you must show evidence that your English Language skills are at B2 level on the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference).
This can be demonstrated by obtaining any of the following qualifications for direct entry on to undergraduate, postgraduate or research qualifications.

Each of the tests marked with an * in the table above must have been undertaken within the two years prior to the start date of study. If any of the other qualifications listed above were obtained more than two years prior to the start date of study then the applicant will be required to provide additional supporting evidence – in the form of an employment/academic reference or other evidence of academic ability in the medium of English, supporting the applicant’s continued language development.
Visa applicants' English language skills will be further assessed by face-to-face interview as part of the application process for your course.
