Our environment provides us with vital resources that underpin our economic prosperity and our health and wellbeing. Our courses focus on the management of the environment, wildlife conservation and the sustainable management of land for production of food, timber and clean water, alongside strategies to mitigate threats arising from climate change.
The world needs experts who can solve environmental challenges, and our graduates go on to do exactly that. You could become a wildlife conservationist, protecting endangered species and restoring ecosystems, or an environmental consultant, advising businesses and governments on sustainability. A lot! We believe the best way to understand the environment is to be out in it. You'll conduct fieldwork in forests, wetlands, and agricultural landscapes, tracking wildlife, assessing ecosystems, and working on conservation projects.
Our 494-hectare farm acts as a living lab, where you can see sustainable land management in action. Expect plenty of hands-on experience - this isn’t just a classroom-based degree
From habitat surveying and species identification to GIS mapping and environmental impact assessments, you’ll gain the technical skills that employers look for. You'll also develop problem-solving, data analysis, and policy-making expertise—essential for shaping the future of conservation and sustainability.
